With the SAXOPHASIS ensemble in Nantes, a variable-size ensemble of 8 to 150 saxophones, notably at the opening of the Folle Journée de Nantes, but also across France.
“The Ellipsos Quartet offers a school show for students from primary school through middle school, in which they set off on a musical journey to the 5 continents with ‘Saxo’, a fictional character. Through the music of the countries ‘Saxo’ travels through, students discover different musical styles and geography from their own classroom.”
For many years, the Ellipsos Quartet has given masterclasses around the world. It shares its experience with students of all levels during these encounters and passes on its passion and its high standards in building sound and developing quartet technique. For advanced students, Ellipsos offers follow-up support in training and career management.
Every year, the Ellipsos Quartet meets young French and Asian saxophonists for an academy like no other, set in the exceptional surroundings of the Royal Abbey of Celles-sur-Belle. Organized in connection with the Festival du Souffle, it offers a demanding musical practice, based on collective work and stage training.
